These are the MINIMUM equipment requirements
All equipment must conform to current British Fencing Guidelines for
Safety.
Masks must be without rust, holes or deformation and must have an elastic
backstrap.
Visor masks must also be fitted with two layers of transparent
material with a date of manufacture of less than two years.
Clothing must be free from tears, damage or weakness. A
regulation plastron must be worn. Gloves must overlap the
sleeve. Breeches must be worn. Socks must be of sufficient
length to ensure
that the legs are fully covered.
All fencers must have access to a spare weapon and bodywire.
