Payment
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Chelmsford Fencing Club’ and must be received on or before the closing date to avoid late entry charge. Payment may also be made online via British Fencing, click here for further information.
Competition format
The competition will be run using a unique format with all fights fenced to 5 hits with no elimination, for further information click here.
The organisers reserve the right to make minor changes to the published format to ensure the smooth running of any of the competitions.
Awards will be made to those placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Competition eligibility
This event is open to fencers all fencers born on or before 1 January 1996.
All fencers must be members of the British Fencing Association, a valid card must be produced to check in.

All fencers must be aged 13 years or over (as defined by the age on 1st January in the season of the competition - 1st September to 31st August) to enter.
i.e. for season 2008-2009 the fencers must have been born on 1st January 1995 or earlier
Equipment
All equipment must conform to the current British Fencing Guidelines for Safety. Further information can be found here
Masks must be without rust, holes or deformation and must have an elastic backstrap. Clothing must be free from tears and damage or weakness. A regulation plastron must be worn. Gloves must overlap the sleeve. Breeches must be worn. Socks must be of sufficient length to ensure that the legs are fully covered.
Fencers must also have access to a spare weapon and bodywire.
Conditions of Entry
All fencers and spectators participate at their own risk, and are personally responsible for their own safety. Spectators are admitted to the venue, and entries accepted, on the understanding that the British Fencing Association, the Essex County Fencing Union, the organising committee, the officials, the referees and the staff of the venue of the competition cannot accept responsibility for accidents, loss or damage to persons or property, however caused.
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the competition.
